Box Office: Near death experience and an unknown read

A Good Day to Die Hard

Director: John Moore

Cast: Bruce Willis, Jai Courtney and Sebastian Koch

In this flat fifth edition of the Die Hard franchise, Bruce Willis plays the extra-ordinary and mortal John McClane an individual who’s too drawn in creating messy and sticky situations. With this offering maybe it’s time the Die Hard series is put to bed and archived somewhere hard to access. The film opens today across South Africa and much shouldn’t be expected as it still has the same feel as its predecessors.

The Words

Director: Brian Klugman

Cast: Bradley Cooper, Dennis Quaid and Jeremy Irons

The film opens with a scene in a book store where writer Rory Jansen played by Bradley Cooper lends an ear to a famous author,Clay Hammond played by Dennis Quaid, who reads a short extract from Jansen’s new novel. As the film develops it appears that Jansen didn’t write the book, instead he found it in a pile of junk in a dilapidated attic with no reference to the original author.
