Box Office: Defensive of cultural identity and some bit of far away love

Verraaiers

Director: Paul Ehlers
Cast: Deon Lotz, Gys de Villiers and Rika Sennette

This is a film based on two Boer wars that took 12 heart-breaking years to the Afrikaners, as they were being wiped out by the British who occupied riches in South Africa. The core of the film is that a group of Boere farmers realize that they are fighting a hard battle to win, and had to make a tough decision that of discontinuing or to continue the fight. The Boer generals viewed the decision as an act of cowardice and treason against the Afrikaner nation. The men who wanted to discontinue the fighting for Afrikaner identity were abducted and rounded up by the generals and labelled traitors (Verraaiers).

Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away 3D

Directors:Andrew Adamson
Cast:Erica Linz, Igor Zaripov and John Clarke

From the makers of Avatar and The Chronicles of Narnia, the film takes a look at a young couple that’s separated, and must journey through the dreamlike worlds of Cirque du Soleil to find each other and reconnect. The 3D technology will allow the audience to swim and move with the performers, and the interesting thing about the film is that it brings joy.
